Dear friends,

April 2012 is here, and on Easter Sunday we celebrated 9 years as a church! Praise the Lord who continues his mission in our world.

It was an occasion marked by mixed emotions, however, since some hardships have recently come upon us as a church family.

One of our longtime members, Jack, lost his father a week ago, after a prolonged struggle with sickness--the funeral was yesterday.

Many of you know Sis, whose life is a testimony to the Lord's transforming power and grace. She suffered a stroke a week ago. She has since shown remarkable recovery, and it was good to laugh and pray with her just a few hours ago in her hospital room. God is a Healer. I would so appreciate your prayers for her continued healing... I'm (selfishly, mind you) praying for her to return home better than ever.

Few of us are undergoing housing crises... and suffering the resulting strains on the families.

Weeks like the last can deplete the resources of a church as small as ours, and we can be tempted to be discouraged, overwhelmed, and distracted. Please keep the leadership in your prayers--may we walk in these crucial times by faith, one in our desire to be led by Jesus, and grow more fully into his resurrection life.

Thank you, those of you who have given of yourself in prayer and finance. Your friendship helps us carry on the mission of God's kingdom here in Germantown. I praise the Lord for you. May you live out of the strength of the One who brings life from death.

Shalom,
Kyuboem Lee
