to Friends of Germantown Hope
Dear friends,
This Easter Sunday marks 8 years of life for G.Hope. Praise the Lord with us!
Tomorrow night, we will be joined by Mt Airy Community Church, which is a sister church plant from Spirit & Truth Fellowship, enjoying two years of life in a neighboring community. This is the second year that we will be having Good Friday service together--these have been good times for us to affirm our common calling of seeking the peace of Northwest Philadelphia. We are grateful for our friends in the Lord. Please pray with us as we continue to deepen our relationship for the sake of the kingdom.
On Resurrection Sunday, we will ordain our dear sister Minda Thompson as a deacon. It was a wonderful time of affirming what the Lord is doing in her life, in the life of the church and in the kingdom on Wednesday last week when we gathered to testify to how we've seen the Lord work in and through Minda. Please pray with us as we take this step of growth, and please pray for Minda and the other deacons as they seek lead the church in reflecting the glory of our Servant-King through the work of mercy ministry.
In other news, a couple of friends recently donated a website to G.Hope--the development of the site and the first year's worth of fees. We are deeply appreciative of their gift! We are working on getting the website ready for its public unveiling. Stay tuned.
I pray that this season has been one that has greatly ministered to you as you reflected on the cost of grace the Lord has paid for you. Because of Jesus' death, resurrection and ascension, we have the new beginning of everything, and a sure hope for persevering towards the city that the Lord has established. He is risen! Hallelujah.
Shalom,
Kyuboem Lee
