Hello Friends,

I wanted to send a note out inviting you to come out tomorrow to an event happening tomorrow at Michigan State.  For the past 2 years I have been working to implement strategies and projects to advance a community driven green economy on the north side of Highland Park, an island city within Detroit.  Our team has learned a lot over the past couple years and we are excited to share what we have learned tomorrow.  I could really use your support in making the event a success, so please consider helping me

1. get the word out
and
2. consider attending if you around the Lansing area tomorrow night.

If you do, you will forever have good karma!

Pastor David Bullock will be joining me tomorrow, which should take this whole event to another level.

Here is the event info:

Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 7:30p.m.

Erickson Hall Kiva, Michigan State University

Be Spartan Green will be hosting a seminar with guest speaker Brandon Knight. Knight works for Global Exchange where he developed the Green Economy Leadership Training program in Highland Park, Michigan, a program that equips participants with the knowledge, attitude and technical skills to create a career in the green economy.

At the event he will share his strategies for building a new economy in Michigan. From his experience working in the urban farming and renewable energy fields, Knight will explore scalable models and projects that are helping to change the landscape of Detroit. His vision includes plans on how we can solve economic inequity, unemployment and environmental degradation through community projects that build a more democratic society.
