Hi guys,

I found your website and would like to ask a basic question.  I'm organizing an 8 day, 430 mile sagged loop ride in western Oregon for 10-15 friends next spring in late May-early June, and would like your recommendation for the best route from Cottage Grove to Belknap Springs on Hwy 126.  Just looking at a highway map, it appears we can bypass Eugene on the southeast side by going from Creswell to Pleasant Hill, Jasper, Natron, Walterville, and onward via Hwy 126.  Does this sound like a good plan ?  I do plan to drive the route very soon (maybe later this week), but would like to hear your recommendation.  The next leg is from Belknap Springs north on Hwy 126 to the junction with Hwy 20, then west to Sweet Home.  Does this sound like a good idea, or would you recommend taking the left fork 3-4 miles north of Belknap (not sure if it's paved or gravel)  ?  I don't recall whether 126 north of Belknap has a decent bike lane or shoulder.
