Yakima Bike Rack

Dear GEARs members,

I apologize if this is an inappropriate use of these lists—but a friend asked me if I know anyone who would be interested in a good bike rack, and I though there might be someone among GEARs riders. Here is her message:

We have a never-used rear (hitch-mount) Yakima bike rack that we have been trying to sell in general want ads (e.g. CraigsList) without success, and I’m wondering if you might know anyone who might be looking for one in the avid bicycling world.

 

We bought it at REI for our Subaru Outback wagon, but when we trade in that lovely but tired car, the rack didn’t fit our new one.  We paid $410 (we have some of the mounting accessories) and are asking $150.

You’re not alone!  Let me try something different (and it might come out turned sideways, but I don’t know how to fix that!)
