Hey guys,

We are only two talks in, but I’ve been pushing for feedback on how they’ve been going and have had these back. Personally I find feedback like this to be inspiring and reminds me why we’re doing this in the first place - we’ll keep setting up what we can here.

As a side note, we’re starting to get approaches from many of the graduates we’ve met at the Meet a Mentor sessions over the year, so if anyone is looking for graduates or interns then do let me know and I can set up a call or meeting to discuss further.

Feedback 1:

"Personally, I find these talks to be a great insight to how things happen, within the industry environment.
Hearing talks off people within different sectors of the IT industry, really gives an perspective of what really goes on outside of an education establishment.

I think that, for an improvement to these talks (even though there have only been a few so far), could be to have the industry professionals talk about more recent trends and technical matters.

I hope this feedback will be of some use."

Feedback 2:

"I think that the talks that you have been organising for the beginning of our lectures are brilliant and very inspiring. I think you should definitely carry it on!

I find that the talks were very interesting. I do not think they distract us from the course content, I think instead that the talks are inspiring and motivate us to work more toward the module, it definitely inspires me. I think that, like the last talk, showing "a day in the life of" was really good, showing us a taste of what it would be like to work for different types of companies, giving us an idea and a feel for the type of work we want to go into. So maybe trying to show different ways that companies work could be a suggestion? At the moment, I do not know what more to say about improving it as I have thoroughly enjoyed both of the past mini-lectures and look forward to more in the future!"

Kind regards,
Barry
