  SATURDAY,   AUGUST  23   6:00- 8:00  P.M.       Northshore  Park,  The Woodlands     FREE!!

    

    FREE!!   Outdoors at the Park.  Bring lawn chairs, cooler, favorite beverages, alcohol is O. K. umbrella.  We will benefit from a cool front, high of 86. See you there. See Dr. Bob add his harmonicas to the mix.  Directions to Northshore below. 

 

 

 SUNDAY,  SEPTEMBER  14  3:00 P.M.      Continental Club,  Houston,   Donation

 

    Gorilla Dance Band will again participate in the Houston Blues Society sponsored, International Blues Challenge.  Can the GDB blues out TX Psychedelic FunkTM?   Of course, Dr. Bob has agreed to play mouth harp with us. Gonna update the roots Memphis sound.

 

Kinda, real roots is jugs and mostly homemade instruments, modern roots is electric and screaming guitars, we can do that.  Winners compete in Memphis and win fabulous prizes too.

GDB had some kind of fun at rehearsal Monday night.  With our guest mouth harp player Dr. Bob along for the ride we made lots of noise.  GDB attempts to put a more blues tint to the TX Psychedelic FunkTM.  G. AJ surprised us with a new blues original and it felt perfect from the first note.

DIRECTIONS:

West on Lake Woodlands Parkway. It's a funky intersection off I 45 North from either direction.

Go past the mall.

Left immediately after crossing bridge. Park can be seen through the trees on the left.

 

The park drains well and the grass is in good condition.
