T's was kind to afford us space to warm up for the UU Deck Fund raiser July 25 and the KPFT  Service Auction Saturday.  FULL  SERVICE  BAR  AND  GRILL.  GDB played T's years ago. It's been remodeled with new management.  You got to love those bickers. Hey it's Sunday, dare the Gods.

Can you believe KPFT is having a fund raiser?  G Mark has bought a table for ten. It has ben designated The Party Table.  First ten people with a ten dollar donation get a seat (5 seats left.)  Oh yeah, the event is a costume party and the table is supposed to be decorated, not sure what that means, but G Mark says "have at it." Saturday, July 25  6:00 P.M. to 10:30

 

The  UU  Rock & Roll fund raiser for the new outdoor stage/ deck at The Unitarian Fellowship 1504 Wirt Road 77055  will be Saturday, July 25 6:00 P.M. to 10:30.  You saw it, some of you played on it, some of us worshiped IT.

 

Emerson UU will provide Harmonic Tonic, The Blue Notes from The Fellowship and Gorilla Dance Band from The UU Network. 

 

Bring everything you need, picnic, cooler with favorite beverages, shade (there is a lot of nice tree shade in the evening), lawn chairs etc. etc. you know the routine. Everyone is invited, show your doubting friends how hip UUs are, annoy your in laws!

 

This Stage Celebration is to help pay for the deck.  DONATIONS gladly taken, please be generous, lots of time and materials went into the construction. It's Big, its Beautiful, it will outlast most of us.  No money? Come anyway, juggle fire or something, hula hoop.  More details will be available at www.gorilladanceband.com

Yes it is all about G Mark.  No wait, G AJ's birthday is Monday. 

 

Back to G Mark. He has now been banned from two UU churches. Good thing UUs are "Welcoming Congregations" . Used the word "Psychedelic"  on a UU Spring Music Festival poster.  Apparently due to the possibility of flashbacks UUs have banned the word. That got G Mark banned from First UU.

 

And don't say skinny dip, even if you don't mean it.  That scarred the hell out of, and pissed off a minister at All Souls UU in OKC. We need a UU dictionary of banned words for those of us that attempt to promote the cause. 

 

The ban from Northwoods UU, which the GDB morphed from, is a bit of a mystery.  They don't like us, they really don't like us. In spite of our winning personality.  Upon leaving, it's interesting to watch the jostling that takes place, as a new order is created.  Human nature, quality entertainment.  Thought the Silver backs had earned some respect, It's fleeting.   Only 2897 others have ben banned from two UU Churches. There are eight in town. Will check with The Guinness Book, this may be G Mark's opportunity.
