PUBLIC MEETING   Scrap Trident - Now!  No Replacement   Speaker: Alan Mackinnon, Chair of Scottish CND Venue:    Quaker Meeting House, 98 Crown St, Aberdeen Time & Date:     7.30pm, Friday 27th August   The Ministry of Defence said that they shouldn’t have to pay for Trident replacement and that the billions needed must come from the general budget. BUT our campaigning has helped to force George Osborne to say that the MOD must pay. Meanwhile the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston is spending billions on on the development of a new generation of warheads.  What are our next steps in our campaign to stop Trident in its tracks?  Alan’s talk will give us the opportunity to hear the latest information, ask questions and discuss how we move forward with a Government clearly committed to a nuclear weapons future .   ALL WELCOME
