First Monday (an on-line peer-reviewed journal at firstmonday.org/) has an
article on prediction markets. It's an attempt to build a classify system
for PMs. It's fairly sparse in coverage (10 markets, not all of them
currently running) and thin in the number of attributes is catalogues.
OTOH, it has an associated wiki, which may provide a place to build up a
deeper and broader shared knowledge base, if they can keep out the spam. So
far, it looks like it's being weeded regularly, but it's clear that spammers
are trying to add a bunch of irrelevant crap.
Keeping a resource like this useful over the long term is hard work.
