Hello Infinity Gamers One and All,

This week, Lee and I will be teaching Rob Infinity at 6:30 on
Wednesday, March 2nd, at Valhalla's. Everyone is invited to come. If
you are new, lurking in the forums, and frequent Valhalla's *cough*
Luke and his brother *cough* this would be a great opportunity to
learn Infinity.

I am sure that there will be gaming this Saturday at Total Escape
Games, but at the moment I am not sure if I will be able to make it
that day.

Feel free to reply to this thread to set up games for the week.

For tomorrow I obviously won't have my mini's in time, but would
really like to have a hands on. If I did up a 150-200 list for Nomads
and proxied 40k models would that be too confusing?

It would be fine if you proxied Nomads with 40K models, Rob.
Actually, I was going to let you play 250 pts and then Lee was going
to play 150 or 200. We didn't want to crush you the first time that
you played. =) If you are feeling bold, it wouldn't be a bad idea to
make a 150 and 200 pt list. If you are going to play the same point
total as Lee, it would be better if you played a smaller game.

I was going to let you use my PanOceania army and you are still
welcome to use it if you like. (You just can't make comments about it
not being painted. =)

I'm actually a one faction kinda guys, so if there is no objections
I'd kinda like to proxy Nomads... though of course they won't look
anything like them but will at least be about the same size. On the
points, I'd much rather play the same point costs and get my teeth
kicked in :) It's the best way to learn!

Well, Lee, I think I'd call that an invitation . . .

Actually, Rob is quite good at 40K, I am sure that he will pick up
Infinity pretty quick. It's really up to the two of you as to what
point total you play, but I would recomend a lower point total.
Things will move slowly as Rob learns the rules and with a lower point
total there will be less special rules to worry about. I will just be
there to help with the rules and to give Rob a little help.

Sounds good to me! I just did up a 150, 200, and 250 list with stuff
that I have mildly similar looking models for. I made the lists vastly
different from what I bought, so I can get a feel for all the other
things the army is capable of. Thanks a bunch again you guys and I'll
study up, so I can at least give you a run for your money somewhat
heh ;D

Haha, keep in mind I have no sense of list viability no playability
yet. My list will probably be the 40k equivalent of bringing Imperial
guard grunts to assault Ork Warboss :D

Hey Aaron!

Good to have you on board! I would be happy to come by Total Escape
on Thursday, but I can't get there any earlier than 7 pm. Total
Escape closes at 9:30 that night, so we should have enough time. Does
that work for you?

Have you discovered Army Infinity, yet? It's the free army building
software that we all use. It is amazing. It is the best free army
building software that I have ever seen and better than some I have
paid for. It requires Adobe Air to run. Adobe Air is also a free
download that takes very little disk space and Adobe won't start
spamming you or anything for having their software. So first,
download and install Adobe Air. You can get it here: http://get.adobe.com/air/
Then download and install Army Infinity. You can get it here:
http://www.4shared.com/file/uxdra4S4/army3.html It is a free file
sharing site, so you have to wait through advertisements. Also, make
sure you download the program and not something that they are trying
to sell. If you have any trouble, I can email you the software. I am
sure that you have navigated sites like this before. Believe me, this
software is worth the trouble. (Yes, Rob, I cut and pasted this from
the email that I sent you. lol)

When you say that you got the Ariadna Starter, I assume that you mean
the regular Ariadna Starter Pack with 3 Line Kazaks (Rifle), 1 3rd
Highlander Grey Rifles (2 Light Shotguns), 1 Chasseur (Rifle, Light
Flamethrower), and 1 Veteran Kazak (T2 Rifle), right? I just need to
know so that I make a list of the appropriate points. There is a
Caledonian Highlander Army Starter pack for Ariadna, but that is a
Sectorial Army. Sectorial Armies are something were introduced in
Human Sphere, the Infinity supplement. Chris Rae's Ariadna army is a
Caledonian army. You can download the rules for Human Sphere for free
from the manufactor (it's not piracy) at:
http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity_ENG/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=84&Itemid=192
It's the first download.
