Ghengis Con and the Infinity tournament is nearly here! The
tournament will be at 10 am on Saturday, February 19th. Lee, Ian,
Chris, and I have already signed up. Though preregistration is over,
it's not too late to join the tourney. You can sign up at the con on
either Friday or Saturday. The website for the con is http://denvergamers.org/

Hope to see you there!

I was talking to Guillermo, the guy coming up from New Mexico to run
the tournament, and he asked me to pass along a word of encouragement
to the new players interested in the tournament. Unfortunately, I
deleted his email or I would quote it, but he said that a tourney can
be great opportunity to learn the game and to have a lot of fun. He
said that sometimes less experienced players win because they were
able to make good decisions during the game even if they don't have a
"killer list." Also, he said, even if you don't win, you still learn
how to better play the game.

The tourney should be fun! See you at the con!

I know this to be true.  I learn WAY more from games I lose than the ones I have won...!!!

Besides, have you seen the Trophy?

Twilight is like soccer. They run around for 2 hours, nobody scores, and its billions of fans insist that you just don't understand.

I like the look of the trophy. Actually, Guillermo is bringing A LOT
of prizes for the game, so I wouldn't be surprised if everyone walks
away with something just for participating. Again, for me it's more
about having fun than winning. I rather have three good games with my
friends than be a jerk to them for three games and get a prize.

If you are planning to play in the tournament, don't forget that the
games will be 250 points and you will need two copies of your list.

See you at Genghis!

well I hope ever one had fun.. the terrain look great,Guillermo didn't
great job with the whole tournament and getting it organized.
I'd definitely like to thank Guillermo for the great job he did.
driving all the way up from New Mexico to put a tournament in Denver.
It was lots of fun I like to each different battlefields that he had
making each one little different and unique.
I was hoping to post some pictures of our tournament but I don't seem
to be able do that all have to see how that is done.

I had a lot of fun, too. Guillermo will be posting a recap of the
tournament on the official Infinity website forums. Once he starts
that thread, you can thank him there and post your pictures, Chris.
