Hey there folks!
This weekend is the first European UFO Major of 2010. The Homecoming cup will be held in Assen, Netherlands on Saturday and Sunday.
This is a celebration not only of the dogs, but this year, a special celebration as our friend Reint Elzinga has returned safely home to Holland from Afghanistan.
This is also a good time to tell you all about a new UFO prize this year: The UFO European Cup Championship. This event series takes place withing the UFO World Cup series. Teams in Europe, competing in European UFO events, will have their points tracked in a second, separate series this year. The Current standings for the European Cup Series are already online at the UFO homepage- http://www.ufoworldcup.org - just click on 'Standings' and you will see the new link on the left.
The series works just like the World Cup series: teams earn points in the Open division at UFO events. At the end of the European UFO season, there will be a European Cup Finals event in Den Ham, Netherland on September 18th and 19th. The 18th is a UFO Major, and the last chance for European teams to get points and qualify for the Final event on Sunday.
On Sunday, September 19th, the first event UFO European Cup Finals will kick off. European teams that have earned 65 World Cup points in European UFO events are qualified for this event. Unlike the overall World Cup Finals, this event is "winner-take-all". The winners of the event on the 19th of September in Den Ham will be the UFO European Cup Champions!
The next UFO Major in the USA is Fishers, Indiana on June 25th, and don't forget the UFO Finals this year in San Diego, California on October 22-24!
Keep the teeth on the disc and the paws in the air!
The UFO
