Thanks Mitch,
I spoke with the Richmond Fire Chief on December 24 and he said all
the gasoline was caught by covered catch basins which are designed for
this very purpose. Gasoline did not go into the sewer. They put sand
in the basins to reduce danger of ignition. After the sand soaked up
the gasoline, the basins were vacuumed to remove the contaminated
sand. A textbook operation.........
