Volunteer "Ownership" of Ward Acres Improvements

Thanks to Charlotte for an interesting idea.  She thought that individuals, couples, families, or other groups could take "ownership" of specific types of park improvements or of certain sections of the Park.  For example, she was interested in the wall that stretches, roughly, from the barn to the main entrance.  Keeping it clear of vines and other noxious plants and otherwise in good repair would be a worthwhile project.  Perhaps others could help with the heavy work of repairing the wall (replacing dislodged stones) once it was cleared.

 

Does this idea have other applications ?  It seems to me that it would be a good idea for encouraging participation in Parks efforts.  It would provide a more or less defined amount of work for those interested in contributing to the Park we all enjoy.
