Dana : Retreat teachings are offered in accordance with the Buddhist tradition of Dana (the practice and virtue of generosity) where the retreatant is invited to contribute financially to the teachings and the mentoring based on their individual income and the value that they place on what has been offered. The livelihood of the teacher is - in part - dependent on the generosity of Dana. There will be more details of this on each retreat.
* Sponsored Rate including Dana
Where the basic fee for a retreat participant is being paid by a sponsor - for example, a recovery support agency, a charity, or an employer - then it is suggested that the sponsor add £70/€70 to the fee as a Dana offering bringing the total cost for the retreat to £300/€300 for the five days. However, this amount is only a suggestion; therefore Sponsors are free to add more or less or no Dana, as they feel appropriate.
