Cross Country DISTRICT meet at FRANKLIN!!!!

This Wednesday, Oct. 27, Franklin High School is hosting the XC
District Championship Meet!!

EXPECTATIONS ARE THE DISTRICT MEET WILL DOMINATED BY THE FRANKLIN AND
CLEVELAND TEAMS.

IT WILL BE QUITE EXCITING!

DISTRICT RACE DETAILS
** Race starts in the Clinton Park soccer field next to Franklin HS **

Frosh boys: 3:45 p.m.

Varsity girls: RIGHT AFTER frosh boys race, around 4:05 p.m.

Varsity boys: RIGHT AFTER varsity girls race, around 4:30 p.m.

JV girls: RIGHT AFTER varsity boys, around 4:50 p.m.

JV boys: RIGHT AFTER JV girls, around 5:10 p.m.

These times are approximate after the frosh race because start times
are dependent on when the race before finishes up.

Franklin Varsity boys team has been ranked #1 or 2 in the coach's
poll ALL SEASON and we have a very strong up and coming girls team!!


· Last year boys were 6A PIL champions, and 6th in the state

· A Franklin boy has won 4 of the last 5 PIL XC individual titles

· Our boys have qualified for the XC state championships 5
straight years

· Bryce Burgess in 2007 was 6A state champion in XC.

· Our Girls have qualified for the state championships 3 of the
last 4 years

· Last year, our girls were 10th in the state.

Last week the Dairy Farmer's state academic all-star teams were and
the Girls: 3.90 GPA, 2nd highest in 5A XC in the state while our boys
were at 3.34

Franklin's boys team has a very good chance at walking away with the
district title, and on to the November 6th State Championships in
Eugene!!!

Bring the kiddos, grandparents & neighbors: join the fun and
excitement and support your favorite team! (and it is not supposed to
rain)
