The Alta Vista Center for Autism has an immediate opening for the following

 

Alta Vista Center for Autism, located in south Denver, is a treatment center for children with autism and related disorders.  We have a full time opening for a program coordinator for one of our school aged programs. Candidates must have one of the following: a master’s degree in special education; CO teaching license; or BCBA certification. You must also have at least one year’s supervisory experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders, of varying abilities and social/emotional disabilities at the elementary or secondary level.

The Foundations of Learning program coordinator is responsible for coordinating, developing and implementing individual programs and behavior plans for children and adolescents 8 to 14 years old with moderate to high functioning autism and related disorders. Children in this program have needs predominantly in social-communication development, emotional regulation, behavior reduction and academics. Regular and specialized training, as well as ongoing collaboration with professional colleagues in the autism field, provided.

Compensation: $34,000-$44,000/year DOE; comprehensive benefits and vacation package; professional development fund
