Aon Benfield Launches “MOST PROMISING YOUNG EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR” SCHOLARSHIP Award Aon Benfield, together with Asia Insurance Review is pleased to announce the launch of the “Most Promising Young Executive of the Year” scholarship. Applications are now being accepted. This scholarship is being inaugurated to identify an outstanding young insurance executive in Asia in the march towards professionalism in the same spirit as the Asia Insurance Industry Awards, to recognise and salute excellence in the industry. The scholarship will be awarded to the individual who best displays qualities of leadership and a dynamic vision for the Asian insurance industry. Each applicant must submit a 2,500 word essay on “A Strategic Vision for the Asian Insurance/Reinsurance Industry”. Deadline for submissions is Sunday, the 30 of June 2013. The scholarship is open to young executives and insurance & reinsurance underwriters aged 35 and under, working in insurance or reinsurance companies across Asia Pacific (except for Australia and New Zealand where there is a separate initiative by Aon Benfield). The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges and announced on the night of the Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2013, 6 November 2013, Singapore. The winner will have the opportunity to attend the Aon Benfield Overseas Client Seminar, in London in July 2014 and a one-week internship at Aon Benfield’s London offices, including a tour of Lloyd’s, with Aon Benfield sponsoring the travel, accommodation and food expenses. “Aon Benfield is particularly proud to launch this Scholarship at this inflexion point for the Asia insurance industry where talent needs to be nurtured and saluted. Winning this award will be a great step forward in the career path of any young professional keen to put their stamp in the Asian insurance industry” , said Mr Malcolm Steingold, CEO, of Asia Pacific Aon Benfield. “Asia Insurance Review is proud to be associated with this important scholarship and training award that will give the winner a definite competitive edge in their insurance career.
