Sunday, July 5 at the Forum

Speaker:  Janet Harris, Executive Director and CEO of the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute, and member of FUMC Conway

Title: "Civic Arkansas" Janet will present data from the 2023-24 Arkansas Civic Health Index and talk about how a group of concerned citizens hope to strengthen the civic health of our state.

The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute continues the former Arkansas governor's collaborative approach to transformational change by providing the people, place, and process for effective meetings and retreats and by convening around issues important to the future of Arkansas.  Janet to the Forum podium.

Janet, a trained facilitator, has extensive experience as a leader, public speaker, and connector. She earned her bachelor's degree while playing varsity basketball for the University of Central Arkansas and later completed her Master of Public Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  Her career includes service with the City of Little Rock and senior leadership roles in three statewide executive offices, including eight years as Arkansas Deputy Secretary of State.

All are welcome to attend in person or via Zoom.  Remember that we are meeting in Fellowship Hall while the refurbishments to the Sanctuary Building continue.  Pretty amazing right now with all the scaffolding in place.  Drop by to take a peek from a doorway.

It's a pleasure to welcome Janet to the Forum podium. She brings extensive experience as a leader, public speaker, and connector.

There's no easier or better way to learn how make a difference for the good than right here in our own "back yard" with leadership from a member of our own congregation.

***Remember that we are meeting in Fellowship Hall while the refurbishments to the Sanctuary Building continue.***

[The sanctuary is a pretty amazing sight right now with all the scaffolding in place.  Drop by to take a peek from a doorway.]
