We are delighted to welcome James Beard Award Winning "Chef Matt" to the Forum to speak about the importance of sustainable farming practices, and how we, as consumers, can support our local food movements in a thoughtful and meaningful way.
Matt will focus on the challenges encountered in developing the local food movement in the state of Arkansas from an education standpoint to the public and also how rewarding it can be not only for our health but for our local economies to support these movements. The benefits of these things are our health and building better and stronger communities.

Presenter: Class member Margaret Cline
Title: Save the Bees! Yes!! Save the Butterflies! Yes!! BUT HOW???
Notes from Margaret: The world has lost seventy five percent of its insect biomass in the past thirty years. Collapsing insect populations world-wide threaten everything from wild birds to the food on our plates. In fact, this "insect apocalypse" poses a dire threat to all life on earth.
As we conclude "Green Month at the Forum" this Sunday, we will explore five different ways that each of us can have a positive influence on this existential dilemma and alter the outcome for the better.
