Bill,

I think many would agree that it goes a little deeper than a DCR pull back notice.

Who at DCR approved this breech of ethics?  How far up the DCR chain of command does this kind of business
as usual forestry influence peddling policy reach?

Or just another in a long list of forestry policy related 'accidents' for
which an individual or two will get a slight reprimand?

I ask these questions not in an academic manner: the DCR is the convener of the Forest Futures process, and now
we see exposed a blatant attempt to influence process outcomes.

We could certainly list other ways in which DCR/EOEEA has gotten its fingers on the Forest Futures outcomes scales.

Greetings,

I understand that an email has been sent, or will shortly be sent, correcting the announcement that the forums will be eligible for continuing education credits.

Hey guys! This whole process is dissolving into a witch hunt. How can anything sensible come out of a deliberative process where it is assumed that half the participants are evil liars?

Best,

Having faith in the integrity of government is NOT the American way of life. It's almost essential to NOT have faith in government. I don't recall Mike Ryan or anyone else saying that the DCR are evil liars- or that the wood industry are evil liars- but the industry is a special interest group with NEEDS and whenever anyone or any group has needs, they all too often manipulate the process whenever possible. The state agencies are also special interest groups and their careers are at stake.
