Googlegroups sent me an email from one of my members which the service
thought it was spam. The member is a regular member who is allowed to post
to the abapstas list, which is a list where members posts are first
moderated until I know the member is legitimate. He has posted to the list
many times before but on this occasion, Googlegroups wouldn't allow it
through until I had approved it. I haven't found anything on the service to
stop this, I've tried searching in the help centre about handling possible
spam messages but didn't find anything. Have I overlooked something?

Special message from TalkTalk - Please help in the search for Madeleine McCann

Madeleine's aunt, Philomena McCann, has devised an email poster as she fears that Madeleine may have been taken to Spain where the girl's disappearance has generated less attention.

You can download the poster from here
http://news.aol.co.uk/web-appeal-over-missing-madeleine/article/20070510063809990001.

Anyone with information should contact the Portuguese police direct on 00 351 282 405 400 (international call rates apply) or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

That hasn't happened to me in a long time, but it does once in a long while.
Google sometimes sends messages to be approved as if the member was
moderated, even if they aren't. There were a few messages on a list I run
for family that treated one or two posts from a cousin that way.

I don't know of any way to stop it but at least I'm glad to get the option
to look at it if google is in doubt, and approve it myself. It's a rarity
but can sometimes happen.

I don't know of any way to fix this, since it's probably some sort of
conflict between the google servers and those of - or along the way there
from the poster's ip.

thanks Capri

one thing I did do which sort of interests me, I approved it originally by
just replying to the email, but then I had a look on the approve messages
section under manage members, and even though the message was distributed to
the list, it was still there under approve messages, I checked the radio
button to post and hit the moderate posts button, and it was sent out again.
Oh well. Hope you had a good weekend.

You're welcome.

Yes, Google does that sometimes too, I call it being slow on the draw.
