Diana,
Bambusa oldhamii is perhaps the best of the large tropical bamboos and to see that it grows in Tarpon Springs, Florida shows that it is cold hard enough for central Florida. I have someone who is wanting to do the same thing you are wanting to. The only problem is she has Bambusa vulgaris, which is less desirable than B. oldhamii.
Some things to take into consideration on selling of this bamboo:
1..Digging out the bamboo is labor intensive and that is a major cost factor someone has to figure in if they are going to buy your bamboo and resale it.
2..The large pots to hold the large plants aren’t cheap, which is another cost for the buyer.
3..For your consideration: if someone digs out the bamboo out of your yard, are going to be responsible for bringing dirt and filling the holes left by digging out the bamboo?
4..You might find someone who wants to buy your bamboo and install it at their home. But then you run into the situation of someone who wants some of the bamboo, but not all of it.
