Salina will host the one of five renewable energy roundtable events that will happen across the state. Aimed at informing Kansans on the economic impacts of wind energy and about legislative policy, this event will be held on February 19, from 6:30 -8:30pm at Kansas Wesleyan University Student Center in Room 203 on 100 East Claflin at Salina.
This forum will feature open dialogue with fact-based information. The agenda will include lunch, Renewable Energy Statewide Poll Results, presentations on the impacts of the wind industry by economic leaders in the region, solar and net metering education, and an update on the issues being discussed in the current Kansas legislative session. Find out how changes to our successful wind energy laws are putting 7 billion dollars in new wind and transmission investment at risk.
