Looks like lots of other folks are begining to think about resilience.

“The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all our most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is our only hope.”
~ Wendell Berry

Ford & Finney County Renewable Energy Roundtable
Join community and business leaders around the state as they discuss the true costs and benefits of the Kansas wind industry and the potential of solar energy.

Garden City will host the first of six renewable energy roundtable events that will happen across the state. Aimed at informing Kansans on the economic impacts of wind energy and about legislative policy, this event will be held on Thursday, January 30th, from 11:30am-1:30pm at the lower level of Sleep Inn & Suites on 1931 E Kansas Plaza in Garden City.

This luncheon forum will feature open dialogue with fact-based information. The agenda will include lunch, Renewable Energy Statewide Poll Results, presentations on the impacts of the wind industry by economic leaders in the region, solar and net metering education, and an update on the issues being discussed in the current Kansas legislative session. Find out how changes to our successful wind energy laws are putting 7 billion dollars in new wind and transmission investment at risk.
