Dear First Parish Women,
Holiday Gift Bag Project For MCI Framingham
The Women's Parish Association and many people at First Parish have participated over many years in Concord Prison Outreach (CPO) programs to provide holiday gifts to the Concord Prison population. This year, the program has been expanded and the Women's Parish Association has donated the funds to purchase the items in the holidaay gift bags and is supporting the holiday gift bag project for the Women's Correctional Facility in Framingham (MCI Framingham). This is the first time that women in this facility will be receiving gifts. The gifts are small, but greatly appreciated by the recipients. We still need volunteers to help fill the bags on Saturday, November 13th. There are two work shifts: Morning Shift from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p..m. and afternoon shift from 12::30 to 5:00 p.m. This is a great project for families to work on together. If you would like to help assemble gift bags at First Parish on Saturday, November 13, contact Dian Pekin at pek...@comcast.net by November 9th or 10th. Your help on this project is urgently needed and will be greatly appreciated!
WPA Catnip Ball Sale
Good news, Cat Lovers: One of the most popular holiday fundraisers, the sale of catnip balls at Sunday Coffee Hours has already started. If you can't attend coffee hours, contact Marilyn Lowitt at marily...@verizon.net to arrange for ordering, payment and pickup. These holiday favorites are selling out fast; so to ensure that your favorite feline friends receive the gift that they most want, purchase them now. You will be making your cat friends happy and you will add to WPA funds that help many worthy causes.
I hope you and your families are faring well regarding the Covid19 pandemic.
Warm regards and looking forward to seeing you soon,
