The UUA publishes our FINAL Congregational Record THIS WEEK! The CR is the first information ministers-in-search read about First Parish. The MSC has put a lot of time into the document. Remember, you must be logged in to the FP Web site to see anything related to the search.

The UUA will provide us with a list of interested candidates at the beginning of December, when we begin a period of intense work, planning to identify our top 3-4 candidates by the end of December.

We are working on drafting the questions we’ll use for interviewing candidates. And we’ll be practicing in November on Rev. Elaine.

Consider This! (adapted from the BCT Workshop): UUA Case Study #2 (another true story!)
A candidating minister takes medication for depression but doesn’t share this information with the Search Committee. During candidating week, one committee member discovers the minister taking the medication. The candidate, afraid this one piece of information might be something the congregation can’t see beyond, asks the committee member not to tell anyone. Whose problem is this and how should it be handled?
