Sunday October 16, Rob Craig’s sermon title is “Render Benders”,
exploring Jesus teaching to render unto the emperor only what belongs
to Caesar. The Adult Choir will be joining in leadership. The adult
nurture classes are: “Saving Jesus” in the Crump Room and “Planning
for the Rest of Your Life, and Beyond” in the Laws Room.

Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. Our address is 512 7th Street. All are
welcome.

YOUTH MINISTRY ASSESSMENT—Planning for our youth:
We value the youth of our church, and we are committed to building a
sustainable youth ministry that is going to have a deep impact. That
is why we want to develop a game plan together. Therefore, the Youth
Nurture Committee has invited Youth Ministry Architects to visit us
on
October 16-18, 2011.
If you would like to be part of this process and have your voice
heard, please refer to the attached schedule with YMA and plan to
visit a session with them that fits you best. Please contact Pastor
Peggy at peg...@fpccolumbus.org if you have any questions or
concerns.
Of special interest-Monday October 17: from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Meeting for anyone interested in church to come (This includes
people
who volunteer or anyone who wants to be heard)

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY meets this Wednesday, October 19, at
10:30 a.m. in the small dining room at Four Seasons. This year’s
topic is “Confessing the Beatitudes,” and all women are welcome to
attend. For further information, contact Norie Erickson, 344-9667.

TAKING IT TO THE STREETS: As a Senior Project, Megan Daiker is hosting
an event to raise money for homelessness.  Our youth will become
“homeless” for one night; and plan to spend the entire night in a
cardboard box, or tent and blanket, in order to get taste for
themselves what being homeless is really like.  Please plan to stop by
25th and Central Avenue on Saturday, October 22 any time after 4:00
p.m. to donate to this worthy cause.

THE ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING (part one) will be held at the
conclusion of worship on Sunday, October 30. The purposes of the
meeting are 1) upon Elders, Deacons, and the 2012 Nominating
Committee, and 2) to engage in the Annual Meeting of our Foundation.
Activities that usually commence at 11:00 a.m. may be slightly
delayed. An additional congregational meeting will be called after
Consecration Sunday (November 13) to receive the 2012 budget from the
Session and to vote on the terms of call for pastors.
