will recall the sovereign reign of God over all the world and rejoice
in the promise that Christ will walk among us again. They will pray
that during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday travels will be safe and
relationships will be strengthened.
There will be two adult education classes at 11:00:
NEWS ABOUT ABBY’S HOUSE Roger Brinkman, and other Board Members from
Hillside Health Care International, will offer news and insights about
developments in Belize. The Board Members will be in Columbus for a
retreat and we are pleased that they can participate with us on Sunday
morning.
SAVING JESUS: Who is Jesus and what is his relevance today? Sometimes
it seems as if Jesus has been kidnapped by the Christian Right and
discarded by the Secular Left.
CONSECRATION SUNDAY WAS A SUCCESS! It is a joy to give thanks for
God’s many blessings. Thanks to all who worked so diligently to make
it a great day. We have received more than half of the expected
estimates of giving. Initial tabulations indicate some increases
along with nine new commitments. A letter and card are being mailed
to those who could not be present. When additional estimates are
submitted, detailed results will be shared with the congregation.
TODAY from about 1:30-3:00pm, landscape care team members and any
other volunteers can meet at church to rake leaves and gumballs.
Please join us if possible. Please see Sharon Larson with any
questions. If anyone would like to volunteer at various times through
the week, feel free to do so.
In observance of World AIDS Day(WAD) there will be a related adult
nurture class on Dec 27th. Positive Link, an AIDS management and
support organization, will be available to share information. Jennifer
Adams, Support staff, will give us an update on AIDS in Indiana and
clients, Patrick and Angela, will tell their stories of what it is
like to live HIV/AIDS positive.
