ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
MARKET FOR GOOD – an alternative Christmas market will be held Sunday
during coffee hour. We’ve all heard about the concept of “Pay it
forward,” and many have read the book by Catherine Hyde. The Republic
recently reported on a second book by Tom Roth entitled “How Full is
Your Bucket?” Both books have adult and kid’s versions. When we say
and do good things for people, we are filling buckets.
This holiday season you’ll both pay it forward and fill a bucket when
you purchase items for family and friends at our Market For Good. We
will have diverse products and your purchases will be helping
Palestine, Africa, and Haiti. Not only will you delight family and
friends, you’ll be filling buckets far away. Let’s all try to counter
the excessive consumerism which tends to overwhelm the season. Buy a
few simple gifts that give twice and enhance the greater good. Join
in the fun at coffee hour for four Sundays beginning November 27.
KATIE GLACKIN WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE CONGREGATION for its generous
contributions to Love Chapel and its support of her Senior Project
Concert for Love Chapel. Over 180 items and $151 were donated in
recognitions of her project to help meet the needs of our community.
Thank you so very much for your help and support.
PLEDGE PAYMENTS: IRS regulations require that donors must deliver (or
mail & postmark) checks on or before December 31, 2011, in order to
claim a charitable contribution deduction for 2011. Please keep this
