Tell us you New Year's resolutions as they relate to your photography
photography. We want to talk about this in the first FAP show of 2009
and want to include your resolutions!

Here are some of mine:

1. Shoot more available light at night fires
2. Experiment with off-camera lighting
3. Learn Lightroom
4. Organize my image archives better (file naming, keywording)
5. Become a better photo editor (for my own images)
6. Become more confident with portrait photography & lighting

There are a few of mine. Now reply with yours and don't limit
yourself! Anything goes!

While I normally don't like making "resolutions" as that usually sets
me up for failure, I do have a few goals I would like to achieve.

1. Project 365. Having spent the past two years on my paramedic
studying, I will try to devote some time every day to my photography.
2. Shoot more fire ground scenes. Get off my you-know-what and get to
the scene regardless of how fast the get the fire knocked down.
3. Integrate my stage lighting experience with photography lighting.
They are similar but the variences are subtle.
4. Build confidence with portraiture (posing, lighting). I really
think people are facinating, but I can't pose them to save my life.
5. Scan more of my slide/film images. I have lots and they need
digitizing.
6. Better organize my photos (I use lightroom, but I need to spend
some time adding keywords, grouping, and finding a good workflow)

That's all I can think of today. Maybe I will add to this list as the
year goes forth. Stay safe, and be happy!

Yes continue to shoot more available light
Silouette shots both daytime and night
Creative shots, using off camera lighting... have several in mind, 1
with firefighters and smoke (from smoke generator), another on the
ladder shooting down... have the props might as well use them
More human interest
