Hi, its me again...

I'm looking for a simple metadata editor that will work in Vista 64-
bit. On my Windows XP machine I had/have been using Microsoft Photo
Info Tool and I really like it. Simple, no frills, gets the job
done. I want something similar for the new 'puter. Ideas?
Suggestions?

Ted

Check into Photo Mechanic by camera bits. We have talked about this program before.

Let me know if you want to get it. I can get it on a discount through the NPPA

I use Photo Mechanic religiously myself but I don't know if it's Vista
64 compatible. You're too high-falootin' for me Ted!

Ted -

IMHO, if you need this program, you are going to be spending to much
time IFO your computer. I would, before looking at software, look into
what the camera can embed for you.

In my case, the Nikon D300 puts my name and copyright info on each
photo automatically, I then add any caption info through photoshop and
voila we are done.

How much more info do you want to add to the metadata?

Question how do you make the copyright symbol for the water mark in
photo mechanic?

Thanks

Rick,

Hold down the "Alt" key and punch in 0169 and the © should pop up.

To add to that, if you are using a PC, you need to type the numbers on
the keypad not the numbers above the keyboard.

For the Mac users out there, the (c) symbol can be made by pressing
OPTION G (or alt G).

Not to get off topic, but here is a website listing other alt+number
combos that you can use.
