Firefox Assertion Failed - Linux

After doing an update in Fedora 9 to Firefox I now get the error
message below when it starts. I also cannot enter anything in the
address bar or open the addons dialogue or organize bookmarks. I tried
uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, renaming the .mozilla folder
and so far no luck. I'd like to uninstall addons one by one by
deleting the files associated but I'm not sure how to do that. If
anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
