Firebirds,
Our next game against Bengals is this coming Saturday, December 2nd at 9 am. As we are the host team we have to be there by 8 to prepare the field. Please be on the field by 8 to help in the preparation, unless you have a real excuse please be on time. The game against Bengal is very important for us because of the last game result. Bengal is sporting their best team this year so I am expecting a very competitive game.
Some observations from last game: Our batting needs to be a little aggressive with runs coming in constantly especially when the outfield is not that fast we have to rely on running between the wickets. Not to give away wickets easily like playing half-hearted shots and also not playing any shots. Our bowling needs to be tighter with our extras as well as not giving away full tosses ( I am very guilty of this), just do the right line and length. As for the fielding please be more proactive and try to anticipate the ball before it reaches you. I believe we were just rusty the first game and will do better-coming games.
Against Lions, we didn't play our best game and the result although unfavorable cannot be blamed. Expect that kind of unfair treatment in all the remaining games this season. That being said, although we play all our games to win, I am not going to stoop to their level void of ethics and morality to win a mere game. I respect myself too much to do that and expect that from all the members of firebirds. I recommend each and everyone of you for not creating a scene that day, we are above that. Let's just enjoy the game and give our best shot.
Cheers
Shafin
