As part of Mozilla Firefox Project, you can download the Firefox 1.5
Beta 1 (Deer Park), which is now available.

This is the first Beta release of the next generation Firefox browser,
which would be release later this year. However, it is being made
available to Firefox's developers and testing community (thats us) for
compatibility testing and to solicit feedback.

You can download it at: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/

the GUI is the same, you can't use any extensions on the BETA, and it doesn't crash (so far)

You can use extensions you just have to find ones that work, I've used
Deer Park since May and I use extensions, and I have less avlible than
Beta users on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1)
Gecko/20050913 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005091308.

12 extensions installed

Beta is just a fozen Branch build, meaning they took a very stable
build and called it a Beta and the problem with most extension is just
MaxVer

There's an extension for plain 'ole firefox that lets you do that . . . it's just a built in feature in the BETA.
