Hello,

I'm trying, unsuccessfully, to run FireAnt (2.0.2) on a Mac (with the latest version of MacOS, Big Sur).

I first got an error box saying "FireAnt.app is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the trash." After some Googling, this looks like a potentially spurious alert related to security features (GateKeeper). A possible solution was to use the xattr command to force the app into a 'safe' status.

This got me past the error message, but I still can't run FireAnt: the app launches but is stuck in an 'Application not responding' status indefinitely; it still uses the CPU and memory but not the disk. I've tried earlier versions, with the same outcome (version 1 does run but the Twitter authentication feature doesn't work).

Any suggestions as to how to solve this? Apparently I'm not the only one having this kind of problems on a Mac: both a student and a colleague have reported it too. As it stands FireAnt doesn't seem to be compatible with Macs.

Thanks! Any help would be massively appreciated!
