Hello
I wanted to collect Twitter data with FireAnt, but I keep getting the error message "410" meaning API access is gone. Does this mean FireAnt is now essentially useless to collect Twitter data? Is there any way to solve this problem?

Thanks :)
Elliot

Hi Elliot,

As you may have heard in the press, I'm sorry to say that free access to the standard API access for all users was revoked by Twitter. For a while there seemed to be intermittent access, but I guess that has stopped now. If you want to access the API, you'll now need to pay for access. I haven't set up a way for FireAnt to use an individual's API access credentials yet, but once I do, you'll be able to collect Twitter data again. Note, though, that FireAnt does more than just collect Twitter data, and all other functionality remains completely unaffected.

Laurence.
