In the forthcoming ubCore 5.13 release a new registry setting will
become available to users.
The registry setting is a REG_DWORD value called HideFireNet under HKLM
\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ubohci\Parameters.

The default value is zero. A non-zero value will cause the Class
Driver to not enumerate the local "Unibrain 1394 PC" device during
Plug'n'Play enumeration which will result in FireNet not getting
loaded at all.

This is meant for clients that do not use FireNet and do not want to
have it active.
Up till now clients would go to Device Manager under Network Adapters
and disable the FireNet adapters. However when an adapter was replaced
or added to the system FireNet would get loaded on this new adapter
and the user would have to remember to disable the device.

Using the new registry setting is a "Fire and Forget" operation.
FireNet never gets loaded.

As all other settings, this setting will be configurable through
UBTWEAK.
