SAN LUIS OBISPO INTERNATIONAL
FILM FESTIVAL
San Luis Obispo, California - USA
March 7 to 16, 2008

Dear Members,

In the Spotlight this week is the 14th Annual SAN LUIS OBISPO
INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (SLOIFF), showcasing the industry's
emerging and professional filmmakers in a welcoming setting among the
beautiful beaches, vineyards, and hills that make up California's
central coastline.

SLOIFF has earned a reputation for handpicking excellent films, and
for celebrating their auteurs. Visiting filmmakers are welcomed by
enthusiastic audiences in talk-back sessions and workshops. Vince
Navarro, co-winner of Best Student Film for GORDO gushes, "I was very
impressed by the number of people at the screening...and the audience
was the best one I have ever had."

With its reasonable proximity to Los Angeles, industry professionals
visit the Festival year after year. Past attendees also include
Lifetime Achievement Award recipients James Cromwell, Morgan Freeman,
and Norman Jewison. Other celebrities who have graced the Festival's
red carpet include Malcolm McDowell, Keith Carradine, Henry Jaglom and
Zac Efron.

Events and screenings take place at popular venues around San Luis
Obispo, making SLOIFF an exciting stop on the festival circuit. All
accepted filmmakers receive an all-access pass to the festivities, and
accommodations for one or more nights at a local hotel. Accepted
filmmakers also compete for awards in multiple categories, as well as
cash prizes of up to $1000.

Society to share the appreciation and experience of film in the
natural beauty of California's central coast region.

MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

of an annual scholarship to an AFI student.

The San Luis Obispo area is rich in history, with numerous charming
hotels and B&Bs, gourmet restaurants, a creekwalk lined with local
sculpture, boutiques, specialty shopping and the Mission San Luis
Obispo de Tolosa. Visitors also enjoy breathtaking ocean views and
beaches; award-winning wineries; idyllic areas for hiking, biking,
surfing, and kayaking; as well as relaxing spas and hot springs.
