Yes, we do accept and welcome films from Africa.  We did the mid-Atlantic premiere of Tsotsi, a South African film that later wan an Oscar this year.

Next Generation Awareness Foundation (501(c)(3)) ("NGAF") has chosen to continue expanding its film and motion picture industry related programming to produce three Series in 2007 and continue to help with needed community programming. Each year, numerous cities, universities and cultural centers contact us for programming, please make sure you contact us in advance. The following are the various ways and means of contacting us regarding programming and your submissions.

Film Submission Details and Instructions
  • Submit press packets with your submissions or, alternativaly, a 1-page detailed description of your submission, vitae, and a self-addressed and stamped return package

  • Film and video entries must be on DVD (if DVD avialable) and/or (standard) 1/2' VHS video (NTSC) ~ DVD Copies Must Be Available for Screenings, unless otherwise agreed upon
  • For 2007, Shorts, features, documentaries and children's films are encouraged
  • Please Note: Filmmakers from 2005-06 are invited to re-submit. Films still in our receipt are still under consideration for 2007 programming
  • Send all submissions to the Project Coordinator at the address above
  • Please include a money order or cashier's check for the $20 processing fee with your entry; $35 if submitting for multiple programs; an additional $10 late fee will apply for packages postmarked after respective deadlines. Must be made out to "Next Generation Awareness Foundation".
  • Contact us with subject "Submission" or "Filmmaker" if by email
City or Partnership Proposals
  • Please provide a statement of proposal (1-2 pages), including prospective dates and a detail of what you feel is necessary in order to make the event successful
  • Please include as much detail as possible on current or prospective sponsors, funds available, or funds required to make the event/partnership successful
  • Greater emphasis is placed on cities and partnerships that contribute to communities that can benefit from the Series' programming.
  • Email or contact us your press credentials with the subject "Proposal"
Sponsors
  • Please email us with the subject "Sponsor" to get the 2006 sponsorship package
  • Please specify the series that you would like to sponsor or support
  • NGAF accepts monetary, location (theatre, stage or location for a reception or after-affair), marketing (press, media or general marketing), product (materials, equipment, beverage or food), and other forms of sponsorships
Vendors and Authors ("Vendors Row" and "Authors Row")
  • Each series will have limited space to continue including a Vendors Row and Authors Row for exposure and of artists and marketing of your services to communities
  • Email or send a description of your business with the subject "Vendor" for consideration and to get the vendor agreement
  • Please include your current geographic location and any space requirements, if possible
Volunteers
  • Email or send us your _expression/statement of interest with the subject "Volunteer"
  • Please include your most recent resume or vitae
  • Please state the series for which you are interested in volunteering
  • Volunteer forms will be sent to those expressing interest
Speakers and Poets
  • As part of the production, the Series looks to have notable speakers and poets (poetry exhibition)
  • Speakers, email or send us your _expression/statement of interest with the subject "Speaker" and include biographical materials
  • Poets provide a unique opportunity to gain exposure and provide exposure to spoken word forms of art. Email or send us your _expression/statement of interest with the subject "Poet" and include biographical materials
  • Please state the series in which you are interested
