Hi Sara,
I was online when your email came through – so I’d like to reply to you quickly on this.
We had originally planned to execute on the support that your publication has so kindly offered. As we are in the process of evaluating what to do next with the schools supplies drive, we are currently suspending communication on it.
At our September meeting, several ideas were exchanged and our committee agreed to conduct research and to discuss further what the potential next steps could be at our October meeting.
Thanks again for your kind follow up and we look forward to discussing this further at our October meeting.
Best Regards,
Margaret

Subject: Question about school
supplies
Hi Margaret,
Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend. I wanted to propose something to you regarding the collection of school supplies for West Knoxville schools. I have asked our editor if we could put a note on the front of the Farragut Shopper-News each week requesting a specific item for a particular school. Example: "This week's school supply in demand is copy paper for Farragut Primary School."
Of course, you or someone at the schools or town hall would be responsible for getting the information to us. We could also put a note about where to drop the item off (the town hall, the school, etc.) This would go in the left side of our front page where our readers are sure to see it. Let me know what you think. We would do a trial run for a week or two before making it a long-term item in the paper.
If you would like to give it a shot, we could start with this coming Monday's paper. I would need the information by tomorrow at 5 p.m. ... if that's too soon, we could start with our paper for the 20th.
Thanks in advance,
Sara Barrett
