Hi guys and gals, (I hate that opening, don't know why I use it)

It's been a while since I've posted on here, (I do still have my
worlds and scenarios ticking over in my mind).

I've a new idea that I'm developing, it's just going to be a bit of
fun really, something to use as a creative outlet nothing more. What I
would like, is if you're interested in doing some fantasy world (orcs
and goblins, Tolkien-esque) writing, to drop me a line, or reply on
here so I can get an idea of who might be onboard. I'll get back to
people with more details if they want. I've got a couple of people on
board already, but just trying to get a rough head count before
progressing the idea too far.

Thanks,

zard

Interesting so far. How Tolkienesque? Got a multiverse to fill
up? Sort of high tech that appears to be magic..

Tolkienesque was probably a strech: there will be the likes of
goblins, orcs, halflings, that kind of thing. There's nothing so large
as populating a universe, it's more a case of "one orc's thoughts".

I am at least INTERESTED. I'd have to hear more before I committed.

Not to like the others, maybe something unique, unless you want
another generic scenario?

Tolkien stories had several stories in one.

Mostly it was good vs evil, but also temptation to do evil, but
also selfish good versus greater good.

Fellowship.

Also the story of the fallen.

Allow me to elaborate.

The basic idea is a collaborative blog. The fantasy part comes in in
the form that it is to be written from the first person perspective of
a fantasy creature(or creatures), namely hobgoblins (when the site
goes live, you'll understand why).

Quite how a hobgoblin came to be writing a blog, well, I haven't
worked that part out yet. It's either a case of a hobgoblin has come
through a portal in to our world (a la Tee Morris' Billibub Baddings
http://teemorris.com/billi/ ) or the writings are being digitised,
translated version of a diary. Or the subject could be ignored
completely and if people ask, we simply tell them to lighten up.

What I'm looking for is a few people to come onboard and write a post
once every two weeks or so (if you want to post more often then that's
fine, if you want to do short posts every day that's also good, as
long as the quality is there, that's the main thing).

I've got a few people interested from outside of this list, who know
about as much as this.

I feel I should apologise, firstly, as this isn't truly world building
and secondly because I feel that I have been too vague up until this
point.

If anybody is still interested, then you have my email address.

Thanks

zard

How close to Tolkien or you mean classic DnD style monsters and
world?

How about something more like Forbidden Kingdon?

Or based on ancient chinese or other myths, legends and not on
classic European ideals? More like a mix of Germanic, modern and
judeo-christian myths/legends/etc?

Or how about something other than the classic Manga/Anime?
AmerIndian or ..

Sort of Plug and Play RPGaming Scenarios/Towns/Places?

This never got off the ground, sadly. The idea is still rattling around in my mind, so maybe I'll dig it up one day. Thanks for the follow up though.
