Hey, New York Big Movers:

Big Moves is bringing its Lard tour to NY on Friday and Saturday,
November 2-3 (show details are below), and our large-'n'-lovely
performers need crash space. You don't need to supply food or
entertainment, just a bed or beds to call home for a couple of nights.
We are in particular need of spaces that are pet and smoke free...

BONUS: For every dancer you put up, you get one comp ticket to our
Manhattan show! If you are interested in supporting Big Moves with a
home-stay, please answer the following:

Number of homestay spaces available (please describe):

Please list any pets:

Is your household smoking or non-smoking?

How close is your house to public transportation?

What is on-street parking like near your house?

What is your address/phone number?

Please respond by Thursday, October 25. You'll receive confirmation by
Monday, October 29, about who your home-stay honey(s) will be. Thanks
so much for helping make our East Coast tour better rested, and
therefore even better than before!

Synopsis:
Loosely based on a very familiar movie with another cooking substance
as the title, LARD tells a stuck-in-the-middle story with a big, fat
twist. New student Lily (Colette Gagnon) is too fat to fit in with the
popular girls (or Dietrons), and too thin to be accepted by the tough
gang of fatties who terrorize the cafeteria, dominate in
rough-and-tumble dance meets, and single-handedly keep the nearby
Gina's Diner in business. Lily keeps her spirits up by remembering the
summertime friendship she shared with Patty (Mandy Lussier), who was a
rabid fan of Lily's after-hour cooking at the beachside diner where
Lily worked. Turns out, Patty goes to Lily's new school. But Patty is
a
different girl from the one Lily liked so much in summer. And Lily,
well, she's not eating bacon burgers anymore. Can their friendship
survive diets, dance-offs, and the disapproval of society?

Big Moves is the only producing and training organization in the
country dedicated to creating high-quality, multi-genre dance
productions featuring performers of all sizes. We were awarded the

selected by Boston Phoenix readers as the Best Dance Company in 2006.
In Boston, Big Moves is a fiscally sponsored project of the Boston
Dance Alliance, a 501(c)3 organization. For more information about
