I'm using Wordpress' weak cousin Blogger. AKA the service that Google forgot. It's essentially the same thing though; a CMS. I transferred it to
blog.profitablewriter.com a few days back, but my average visits and organic search referrals took a huge hit, dropped to like 5 a day. I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the stupid Blogger redirect message that said something about "site hasn't been scanned for viruses". I'm sure visitors were like "Oh hell no, I ain't going there!"
Side note: I suddenly realized today that I made a mistake when I bought FCCO and PW's domains through Google. The site building services they offer are weak, and installing a Wordpress instance is a chore. I'm thinking about transferring the domains to another service. You would think that Google would offer the most customization and freedom of choice, but it's all just kind of restrictive and user unfriendly. At least that's how it seems to me.
BTW Kelly, if you need/want some guest posting done, then I'm down like four flats on a Cadillac. Let me know the niche and the keywords, and I'll write something up over this next week. Only if you're down, of course.
Take care.
