If you are selling your own home you need a real estate attorney who can handle your contracts and keep everything on the up and up.  A lawyer will make sure you aren’t getting a bad deal.  They’ll make sure the contracts and title will not come back to haunt you later.  Real estate attorney’s are relatively inexpensive for what they do.  Most will handle an entire residential home transaction for $500 ± and that’s cheap to guard against getting sued later on after you are long gone.
