First Parish Church of Stow & Acton (FPC) has several wonderful events happening this weekend! 🍂

Tonight (Friday, Oct. 18), our Multigenerational Game Night will start at 7pm. Enjoy free parking, free snacks, and free fun! Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. 🎲

On Sunday, at 10am, our service will bravely tackle the thorny subject of Joy, Play & Fun! There will even be coloring sheets, not just for the kids, but for the adults. 😲

That service will be followed by an Open House, where newcomers can learn about FPC's many programs in religious education, music, small group ministry, social justice (for which we have several active task forces), and more. ⛪

Also Sunday, at 4pm, our accompanist Trevor Berens will celebrate "200 Years of Woman Composers" with a piano concert featuring music written between 1836 and 2005. The music is as varied as it is beautiful, from Clara Schumann’s early suite of short works inspired by the music of Chopin (“Soirées Musicales”) to Marti Epstein’s minimalist pieces written at the turn of this century (selections from “American Etudes”). Trevor will also be performing, in its entirety, Florence Price’s rarely heard set of four dances, “Dances in the Canebrakes”, as well as music by the early twentieth-century American composer, Amy Beach. Tickets are available at the door and in advance at Eventbrite (tiny.cc/200Years) for a suggested donation of $5–$40. 🎹

All are welcome to these wonderful (if we do say so ourselves) events! Tickets are required for the concert only, and they can be purchased at the door. 🎫🚪
