Introduction

There are essentially two camps or schools in the issue of moon
landings of the 1960s and 1970s:

* Proponents that believe that moon landings took place.
* Proponents that reject that the moon landings happened.

The facts that there is the concept of the Apollo moon landing hoax
accusations at all is remarkable with lots of information available on
either sides to decide and weigh.

Issues of religion with 'moon landings took place' school

The proponents that believe that moon landings took place base their
support on scientific theories with help of NASA, and due to religion
be considered stereo-typically an arts based subject, the factor that
this could possibly be a factor is not taken seriously. Another basis
of rejection is due to the plausibility that if this factor is focused
in the discussions then religion that is an over-arching subject, on
which western civilzation was founded, could realistically allow the
proponents that reject moon landings happened, with a chance.

Issues of religion with 'moon landings did not take place' school

The proponents that reject moon landings happened, consider that it
was a fraud, hoax and conspiracy, have not focused on religion being a
factor since the inception of this school. Religion nowadays is given
a low priority by the secular state and has been put in the fringe
with the help of commercial media, and this is possibly why religion
has not been considered a factor in the moon landings conspiracy.

Religion Conversion & Religious Wars

Amongst the contemporary reported global themes in the Western media
of Globalization, Global Empire, World Citizen, Global Civilization,
Superpower, and Global Village, there are sensitive less reported
global themes in the Western media of Religious Conversion, Religious
Wars, with evidence of developing common agendas and operations
between CIA, Pentagon, Vatican and Opus Dei as published in Mother
Jones and Rick Ross. This raises the question and suspicion of
religion being a possible motive for the moon hoax. It also puts the
concept of Securalism and the separation of Church and State in the
United States and Western countries elsewhere into question suggesting
underground links and agendas. This paradoxical relationship is
evident in the interesting Wikipedia quote about the Christian Science
Monitor, "The Monitor (or "CSM" as it is known in the intelligence
community) is widely read by CIA and other intelligence agency
analysts because of the newspaper's attention to accuracy and global
perspective."

Conclusion

Western civilization historically has a religious basis. This past or
present religious background of the people and countries that have led
in space exploration has some similarity. Religion provides support
for people personally but also binds people in other sectors for
example in politics, entertainment, and media. There is historical
evidence of links, alliances, and common agendas between Western
government secret service agencies and Western religious bodies.

The moon hoax was possibly caused by the Vatican and Opus Dei as part
of broad agenda with the CIA and The Pentagon, to help in the
competition of Religious Conversion and Global Empire.

There has been mention on Usenet of the linkages between the moon
landings conspiracy and the John F. Kennedy assassination and also the
move of NASA to it's location in the Bible Belt area of Houston,
Texas.

People were fooled by higher authorities that were motivated by
religion into believing the moon landing. This continues even to this
day!
