Developing principles and metrics for investment in ag innovation

The Commission on Sustainable Agricultural Intensification (CoSAI) has been undertaking work with a Taskforce and a panel of experts (see members here) on developing Principles and Metrics for guiding innovation investments in the agri-food system. The nine Principles will serve as a tool for guiding more effective investment in innovation, aiming to encourage higher levels of investments with environmental and socials goals. After their finalisation, CoSAI will develop guidance and metrics for reporting and evaluation. As a package, the principles and metrics will be implementable, sector-wide, to plan, guide, and monitor progress against sustainable agri-food systems objectives.

 

CoSAI is currently in the stage of collecting stakeholder feedback on the principles. They have designed a six-minute survey to capture a broad range of responses – see the link below. If you are able to provide feedback, that would be wonderful.
