Dear FCFM friends,

I hope that this note finds you all well, and that you are braving the cold weather!

Kim and I have a special prayer request, and we would really appreciate it if you could remember our dear friend Dee in your prayers!

Dee is a very special elderly lady who lives next door to us.  She is a very special person with a wonderful heart.  Unfortunately throughout her life, she has encountered very negative impressions concerning Christianity, and therefore has considered herself to be atheistic.  In recent months she has asked both Kim and I a lot of questions about our Christianity, and although she has not yet expressed a belief of her own, she has begun to view Christianity in a better light.

This sweet lady is now in the hospital, and is facing a very strong possibility of having to go to a nursing home.  She is frankly coming to the end of her fleshly life, having experienced several strokes.  I ask that you present Dee in your prayers, and ask that God would open her heart to Him, and that she would realize that God is more than those people whom she has come in contact with in her early life, claiming to be Christian!  I would also ask that you join with Kim and me, that God would place the words in our mouths to serve as His spokesmen when we meet with Dee, and that He would allow us to be His guide to introducing our dear friend to the true and wonderful living God!

Thank you so very much, and I hope that you all have a wonderful and blessed day!

Respectfully Yours in Christ,
Pastor James Kelm

Father, in one accord we stand in agreement as we pray for Dee. Lord while we do not know her, you do, and you have brought Pastor James and Kim into Dee's life for a reason. I pray that you would heal and renew Dee's spirit which has been damaged by tongues and motives which mis-represented you and your plan of salvation to her. I pray that you would remove the scales from her spiritual eyes and open her spiritual ears so that she would have the sensitivity to hear the love and tenderness of your voice in the words which Pastor James and Kim would speak to her. I pray that you would anoint their thoughts and give them the words to speak when they are with Dee. I pray that you would bring Christian caregivers into her daily path so that she would be surrounded by faith and love, and I pray that she would sense your presence where ever she happens to be. I pray that you would use Dee's current situation to draw her close to you and that she would reach out to you; with every breath she takes that it would work to your glory in her remaining days, as we claim her - in Jesus precious name - for your Kingdom now and your Kingdom yet to come, as we cover her in prayer. Thank you Father, in Jesus name, Amen

Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask that you will reveal your deep love for Dee to her.  Please open her eyes to your heart and the provision of salvation through your son Jesus.  Draw her by your Holy Spirit to you and to repentance so that she may be set free from sin.  I also ask, Father, that you grant wisdom and compassion to the Kelm's for Dee as they attempt to minister your love to her.  Thank you Father for hearing my prayer!

Dear Pastor Mike,

Thank you for your prayers for Dee, and your over all support!  Once again, the friends of the FCFM have proven just how wonderful sincere Christians are, and how valuable it is when the brethren stand together in fellowship!

As an update...  They are releasing Dee to go back to her home, but only as a trial to see if she can live at home safely.  Kim and I are going to pick her up in a few minutes.  Of course Dee sincerely wants to be in her home, but only our Lord knows what will ultimately be the best.

Yesterday as we left Dee's hospital room, I asked her if I could pray for her.  She kind of laughed and said "well, you know how I feel about that kind of thing...  But after all, you are my pastor".  I had to smile, because I think that God is working in her heart, and while she has had a life-time of identifying herself as non Christian, I think that God is doing his magic.  I thank you all for standing with Kim and I in prayer, and I would absolutely love to have the privilege of being allowed to guide this dear lady to Christ!

Respectfully Yours in Christ,
Pastor James Kelm

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for your love and mercy.  Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross, so our sins might be forgiven and we can be declared righteous and be your children.

Father, I pray for Pastor Jim and Kim.  Please give them the words to say and the opportunity to talk with Dee about your loving mercy.  Please open Dee's heart, so she can hear and understand what they are telling her, and, ultimately, accept You as her savior.  Lord, you're the only one who can draw Dee to yourself.  You've already put the Kelms in her life, and we know there's a reason for this.  So, Father, I ask that you touch this dear lady's heart and show her that there is something more to being a Christian than she has believed, throughout her life.

I ask these things in the name of Jesus.
Amen

Father God in the name of Jesus, I pray you would have your Holy Spirit open the eyes of Dee to see your truth, and be drawn
to you by your kindness which leads to repentance. Help her to see that you are indeed the "way, the truth, and the life..." and that
by believing in you dear jesus, she would be saved!  Amen
